In this session we'll share some of Teranet's authoritative data, reflecting current trends amongst Ontario’s buyer segments. Emily Cheung will analyze data regarding residential properties in Ontario from 2011 to quarter end before the presentation date. Some of data trends that we plan to focus on will be: Property transfer volume by Buyer Segment 2011 to 2024; Buyer segment transfer volume amongst Condo and Non-Condo properties; Regional spotlights focused on Buyer Segment transfer volumes in Toronto, Peel, York, London and Muskoka; Average purchase value by Buyer Segment; Number of parties on title for each Buyer Segment; Deep dive into activity amongst Multi-Property Owners, First-Time Homebuyers and Movers; Lender preferences of each Buyer Segment.

Emily Cheung is the Director, Data Analytics & Insights at Teranet. In her role, she is responsible for the end-to-end data lifecycle, from data curation, data pipeline and model development, through to analytics and insights, to deliver business value through data products and services, serving both internal and external stakeholders.

As a CPA, CA, Emily began her career at Teranet in Finance and was appointed to stand up an enterprise Data Analytics capability from scratch in 2016. Over the past 8 years, the Teranet Data Analytics capability has grown and matured significantly, and consistently contributes to business value generation, from operational efficiencies, product enhancements and development, to revenue opportunities.
