CSRSA General Session: Explainable AI in Credit Decisioning
Topic: Explainable AI in Credit Decisioning
Presenter: Bill Johnston, Equifax Canada
AI has become an industry buzzword with more promise than results. Organizations continue to invest heavily in data science, but returns to date have been weak. The application of machine learning and the need for explainability represents one of the barriers to realizing value from Big Data investments. This session will highlight the need for explainability and identify some of the regulatory frameworks that will enforce transparency going forward. The discussion will introduce the audience to some of the methodologies that Equifax has developed to manage explainability including the first patented, regulatory compliant credit scoring methodology, Neuro Decision Technology.
