Abstract:

What a roller coaster ride this year has been for the housing market! After historically low levels of activity in April 2020, Canadian resales have now hit historically high levels of activity. Nationally, house prices are seeing strong appreciation, but under the covers, there are meaningful variations and an uneven story. This session will delve into current and historical house prices - starting at the national level, then down to the regional, metro and city-level, and broken down by property style. Understand the variations in the market and where there may be areas for concern within your portfolio. The presenters will also provide insights into where house prices are going and the overall direction of the market.
